Zolpidem (Myslee in Japan) is the most prescribed sleeping pill in the country, in 5 mg and 10 mg tablets. It is a controlled psychotropic, so bring no more than a 1-month supply within the official limit. Japanese doctors readily prescribe it for short-term insomnia, and the newer non-controlled options suvorexant and lemborexant are also common here.
