Hair loss (unapproved oral use)

Oral minoxidil (hair loss)

Minoxidil (oral, off-label)

Low-dose oral minoxidil has become a common off-label hair-loss treatment abroad, and Japanese AGA clinics offer imported tablets the same way, usually with finasteride or dutasteride. Because it is a blood-pressure drug with heart-related side effects, the Japan Dermatological Association advises against it; discuss the risks before starting.
