Acne / rosacea (topical)

Azelaic acid

Azelaic acid

Azelaic acid, a prescription acne and rosacea treatment in the US and Europe, has no drug approval in Japan. Clinics sell it as a cosmetic cream (AZA Clear and similar, about ¥2,000–3,000), so it is available but not as a regulated medicine. You may bring your own Finacea under the 2-month rule.
