Emergency anaphylaxis treatment

Epinephrine auto-injector (EpiPen)

Adrenaline (epinephrine) auto-injector · エピペン

EpiPen (0.15 mg and 0.3 mg) is the only adrenaline auto-injector marketed in Japan and is prescribed by registered doctors, usually allergists and pediatricians. Travelers may bring their own auto-injectors without paperwork (up to a 1-month supply of pre-filled self-injection devices) and should carry them in hand luggage with a doctor's note for airport security.
